Oakwood Village has an exciting opportunity for qualified candidates to join our University Woods (West Side of Madison) senior living community facility team as a/Rehabilitation Aide. Our Rehab Aide assists all members of the rehabilitation staff by performing routine activities for the provision of customer service and rehabilitation department operations.

The Rehab Aide position is 60 hours AM shift from 8:00am-2:30pm Monday through Friday:

Job Responsibilities of a Rehab Aide (Not intended to be an all-inclusive list)
- Assists with therapist treatments including activities of daily living, ambulation, range of motion and strengthening exercises, application of cold/hot packs and balance activities under the direct supervision of the therapist. Amount of assistance allowed may be dictated by pay or source regulations.
- Performs clerical duties including copying, filing and other tasks as assigned.
- Escorts residents to/from the rehab department as scheduled.
- Assists in maintaining a clean work environment through disinfection of rehab equipment.
- Responsible for stocking clean linens in all departments and delivering soiled linens to laundry.
- Develops and maintains rapport with other department personnel to ensure effective exchange of information regarding residents.
- Responsible for distributing daily therapy schedule to all rehab staff and unit clerks. Updates dry erase boards in resident’s room for therapy schedules as assigned by supervisor or director of rehab.
- Issues wheelchair, cushions, and adjusts wheelchairs, walkers and adaptive equipment owned by Oakwood with approval from the Director of Rehabilitation and/or therapists.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Good communication and human relation skills.
- Works independently with little supervision and is sensitive to the needs of many constituents.
- Trustworthy, dependable and ethical with a willingness to accept suggestions and the ability to cooperate.
- Ability to keep information confidential.
- Punctual and ability to adhere to a busy schedule on a daily basis.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and be accurate in a variety of job duties.
- Able to take direction and follow through on delegated tasks, good interdisciplinary communication.
-Ability to work within established policies and procedures.
-Ability to work in a partnership environment which fosters effective teamwork in meeting the mission of Oakwood Village.
- Willingness to accept weekend or holiday hours as needed.

Job Experience/Training required of a Rehab Aide (Not intended to be an all-inclusive list)
- Minimum of two years’ experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred.
- Long term care experience required.
- Minimum age requirement is 18 years old.
