Works under the supervision of the ICU Coaches and Director of Inpatient Services. The RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and supervises individual patient care for adults according to unit policies and procedures. Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers in the implementation of care plans. Educates patients, families and other health team members. Is responsible to provide safe and accountable care adult patients from 18 to 100+ years. May be required to work on other nursing units according to the distribution of staff and patients.
EDUCATION: Nursing degree (ADN, Diploma, BSN, or MSN) from an accredited school of nursing. BSN or higher preferred.
Diploma or ADN nurses must complete their BSN within 5 years of their hire date. Starting a BSN completion program within 2 years of hire and maintaining steady progress toward degree completion will demonstrate satisfactory progress.
EXPERIENCE: Previous ICU or strong Med/Surg experience is required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: License to practice professional nursing in WI. BLS and ACLS required. CCRN preferred.
