Blog Post: Not sure where to get started with your resume?

posted Tuesday, October 16, 2007 7:29 AM

How about our resume builder…

Use the Jobing.com resume builder in your own My Jobing! Account.  Just fill in the blanks to get started with your new resume.  As you get more comfortable with creating resumes and want more flexibility/formats, log back on and create more using our text entry, “Create Your Own Resume”.  Whichever way you choose – remember a few key points:

  •             Keep your resume concise - say what you mean and keep it brief
  •             Keep it honest – fluff will look like fluff to a seasoned recruiter – be honest
  •             Make it informative – be sure employers can tell what you’ve done / can do

Good luck with your resume and thank you for including Jobing.com in your search!

Hi Rachelle - there were a few dental assistant positions on our site though I'm not sure how far they are in relation to you. A great way to get notified of any openings for what you're looking for is to sign up for jobs-by-email. This way you can get notified right in your inbox. Good luck in your search!

Hi...I have graduated in Dec. of 2006 with a Technicnal Diploma in Dental Assisting and Dental Lab Technology. Bad news is that I haven't been able to work since I've graduated due to emergency family situation regarding my sister and her two children. Now everything is fine and situatated with the family but I was wondering is it too late for me to get a job in the Dental field since I have been out of work and school for so long? I mean I think most employeers would notice the big gap in my history and would be reluctant to hire me because of it. Also how would I be able to explain something like this in a resume or a cover letter?

Thank you in advance.

I AM NOT SURE HOW TO GET STARTED ON MY RESUME OR A COVER LETTER. SEVERAL JOBS THAT I AM APPLYING FOR ARE ASKING FOR A RESUME.
